An oldie but a goodie, This design harkens back to my undergrad days. We were challenged to pick a location name out of a hat and then given a brief that instructed us to develop a logotype that captured the allure of the location. As an added bonus we are only to design the logo using set line lengths and curve radii in Illustrator..

Always being a bit of a go-getter I looked at the stars, constelations, aurora borealis and developed something I was proud of. Taking it one step further, I developed character sets for all of the basic glyphs and arabic numerals with a few variants and packaged it up with typesetting software, eventually offering a free download.
