Yunika Boards

Designing icons and top-sheet graphics with Yunika has always been a pleasure. In 2013 they approached me to help develop their "droplet" iconography, brand collateral, and some designs for hats, beanies (toques), and other soft goods. As things progressed we also teamed up to develop artwork that celebrated the heritage of the land in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada where they're located.

After some extensive research into the artwork of the native cultures of the First Nations I was commisioned to design the topsheet for their "Iconic" All Mountain board, which I designed by hand and then brought into Illustrator. Now that they've got their start they work with local and indiginous artisans as well to help bring light to the cultures that they care deeply for.
