In 2016 I was approached by a representative of Giant Bicycles to produce marketing imagery for several bike models in their upcoming lineup. They had seen my work with a key US distributor and asked me to fill in the gaps for the current model year. I met with their marketing representatives to discuss art direction, keeping their visuals inline with existing collateral. I was asked to orgainze/ direct talent, transportation, location scouting, permitting, photography, color grading, retouching, and asset management for 5 product models. With Giant's direction solidly in-hand I got to work and delivered.
Each shoot specialized on-location/ lifestyle product photography per bike, highlighting the product features and prominent brand callouts in an environment appropriate to the product, with minimal studio lighting. After the initial takes, I directed location changes and worked with the talent to capture specific images of the product in-use, meant to demonstrate the feeling of riding their bikes, what it means to be attached to the Giant Bicycles Lifestyle. This gallery includes a selection of my final images as well mockups of their presentation in-use by the client.
